Agroforestry, 500 meters of hedge planted with Lycée Bonne Terre de Pézenas

The Domaine welcomed students from the Lycée Bonne Terre in Pézenas for an agroforestry project, planting 500 meters of hedges to promote biodiversity.

🌱 A day dedicated to education and agroforestry at the estate

At the Domaine Carrière Pradal in Servian, we recently had the pleasure of welcoming students from the Lycée Bonne Terre as part of a partnership focusing on agricultural professions.

We accompanied first- and second-year students in the agricultural trades class, arboriculture option, on a practical project: the planting of 500 meters of agroforestry hedge.

Throughout the day, students were able to work under real-life conditions, supervised by their teachers. In the afternoon, their teachers carried out an assessment directly in the field, highlighting their commitment and technical skills in an active teaching approach.

🌼 A concrete project in favor of biodiversity

This planting is part of our overall approach to biodiversity and the development of sustainable agricultural practices.

We have chosen to plant different species:

– Pistachio trees

– Veneers

– Hazel

Integrating these species into an agroforestry system reinforces natural balances, promotes soil life and creates a favorable environment for auxiliary fauna.

🤝 Passing on and building tomorrow’s agriculture

Through this partnership, we aim to make an active contribution to the training of future professionals in the agricultural sector. We believe that hands-on learning is essential for passing on practical, sustainable know-how.

We’re proud to have shared this day with the students and their teachers, and to be taking part, in our own small way, in building a future-oriented agriculture that combines performance and respect for the environment.
